HOW TO STOP PROCRASTINATING

PROCRASTINATION

It’s no surprise that procrastination is a productivity killer.
Procrastination keeps people from completing important tasks. If you aren’t taking action then you are falling behind.

Procrastination is one of the main barriers blocking you from getting up, making the right decisions and living the dream life you've thought of.

Procrastination is an active process, you choose to do something else instead of the task that you know you should be doing.
Procrastination usually involves ignoring an unpleasant, but likely more important task, in favor of one that is more enjoyable or easier.

HOW TO STOP PROCRASTINATING

1. Do a breakdown of your work
Part of the reason why we procrastinate is because subconsciously, we find the work too overwhelming for us. Break it down into little parts, then focus on one part at the time. If you still procrastinate on the task after breaking it down, then break it down even further. Soon, your task will be so simple that you will realize how simple it is.

2. Change Your  Environment
Different environments have different impact on us. An environment that makes us feel inspired before may lose its effect after a period of time. If that’s the case, then it’s time to change.

3. Create a Detailed Timeline with Specific Deadlines
Having just 1 deadline for your work is like an invitation to procrastinate. That’s because we get the impression that we have time and keep pushing everything back, until it’s too late.

 4. Hang out with People Who Inspire You to Take Action
Identify the people, friends or colleagues who trigger you – most likely the go-getters and hard workers – and hang out with them more often. Soon you will inculcate their drive and spirit too.

5. Get rid of distractions
It’s important to rid yourself of all potential disruptions before you begin working so you don’t get needlessly sidetracked halfway through your task. If you tend to spend too much time on Snapchat or Instagram when you should be studying, then shut your phone off ( all the way off). Distractions could also be external sources, like annoying siblings.Stay away from all forms of distractions.

We are all guilty of procrastinating at some point or other; no one is a stranger to it. Some of us are just lucky enough to identify it in time and still do something about it.
Unfortunately for others, it steals dreams and can even destroy lives.
Procrastination eats up your  precious time leaving you with regrets.
Do what you need to do today, never procrastinate.
Why procrastinate when you can do it right away

Say no to procrastination!
