CERTIFICATE OR SABIFICATE

In the Nigeria of today, you need beyond your certificate to climb the ladder of success.No one is ready to take the risk of seeing your abilities written on paper(Certificate) they also want to see you put your abilities to action (Sabificate) .

'Sabificate' is not a word in the English dictionary but a word coined for use in the Nigerian parlance, In Nigerian pidgin English, the word ‘sabi’ means ‘to know or understand.So,in place of certificate as attestation of qualification, its skill knowledge, having a hands-on knowledge and being a practical person on it. 

Certificate on the other hand means an official document attesting a certain fact, in particular. It is actually a PAPER.It is just the head knowledge of theories.

A lot of young Nigerian graduates who actually hold the 'paper' to say they are qualified as this or that but who cannot defend the paper when the need arises.

The sabificate things as it is,is a do it yourself i-dont-want-to-be-an-employee mentallity stuff, as opposed to the mentality of the government must give me job when i get the degree, the jobs which are growing smaller and smaller by the day. Sabificate has to do with following your passion and enjoying what you do.

 Trends and times are fast changing.The dawn of a new era is here with distinctive economic character.Today, we are in a world which its economic power has clearly shifted from Paper to skill, degree to pedigree, theory to practical, credential to potential, grade points (GP) to great product (GP), scholarship to mentorship, white collar to blue collar and from certificate to Sabificate.

Gone are the days when your certificate gets you the job.No one believes in the white and black printed on the paper. Owners of businesses wants a job well done. Too bad our Youths are deformed because they have been misinformed by an erroneous educational system where people study to seek for employment rather than development.

Where your certificate cannot take you, your sabificate can take you beyond .So,when you acquire certificate,also acquire sabificate .

Make sure you have the sabificate of anything that you have the certificate, having both places you heads and shoulders above your peers.

When you are certified, also get 'SABIFIED'

You walked into a night club to see an old friend. So surprised with the grooving things, it all seem awkward to you. Just on the dance floor, you caught a glimpse of a sexy figure. 

Wow!  She must be a  goddess of beauty, you exclaimed! You eventually  got to talk to her and exchanged contacts. She's not too bad you said to yourself. 

After a few weeks of a sweet relationship, you decided to marry her. Friends warned,parents rebuked but you ignored.

You must be wicked ooo 😀.Don't you go to your father's house? Why get worried that your wife keeps going back to the club, it's her father's house. 

The worst of all is that she just explained to you that she can't bear to loose a sexy shape at the expense of pregnancy. Adopting kids seem to be a good idea to her just to maintain her shape. Of course, it was the shape that got you running after her. My brother, you married the shape ooo 😂😂😂, live with it!

Each time your younger sister comes home ,you keep begging her to stay back for some weeks 'cos your beautiful wife doesn't even know how to cook. She keeps singing it, cooking is not my hobby. Chai! You are in for it. 

My Dear, all that glitters is not gold.One's appearance can be greatly misleading. Gold is a very valuable metal.It has an attractive glittering appearance too. But it does not mean that everything which glitters like gold should be precious. 

There are utterly valueless things that looks like gold and taking them on their face is unwise. On the contrary,some of the dull looking things posses immense value. Their appearance is in no way proportionate to the great value they have. This is true of human beings also.A person may be good looking having an attractive character. But he/she may not possess any real ability or talent. He/she can even turn out to be scrupulous too. 

We tend to ignore necessary facts while in relationships all in the name of love.
Love won't make you blind,It's an eye opener.
Don't think you can change your spouse after marriage
Try to know beyond the looks, that is what you will live with
Discuss the future,it exposes the mind of your spouse
 Before you say the word  'I DO' be sure you really do. So, you won't start saying stories that touches.

POLITICS!  Who made it a dirty game?

The moment you hear the word ‘POLITICS’ what comes to your mind?

A lot of people say Politics is a dirty game. No one with clean goes into politics and come out with the same clean hands. But, the question is who made it a dirty game?

 Politics involves making decisions applying to all members of each group. More narrowly, it refers to achieving and exercising positions of governance — organized control over a human community.

Politics itself was not made to be dirty. In fact, the affairs of the people is more considered than the politicians. Selfish nature of humans, the drive to convert public funds to one’s personal pocket changed the goodwill of politics. 

It is rather worrisome that Nigerian politicians who are devout Muslims and Christians could go to deities to swear as a proof of unwavering loyalty to a benefactor or as a tool to eliminate his/her perceived enemies.

Yes, it is not enough to talk about these things as secrets as we have seen them play out right in public glare in the past. Christian and Muslim politicians in the quest to acquire political positions or win elections go before a deity to swear and meet native doctors to prepare charm.

The worst of all is getting a so called godfather that bribes all and sundry just to win the election. Some even belong to a cult society to gain fame and power. It’s so alarming that these corrupt minds bribes Nigerians with the stolen funds that belongs to Nigerians. Many Nigerians therefore consider Nigerian politics a dirty game because of these fetish practices inherent in the game coupled with bribery and corruption.

Politicians made politics a dirty game. Politics was never meant to be a dirty game. Leaders who often make promises they can’t keep, they are blinded by corruption and not the love for the masses. This is actually the reason why the poor get poorer and the rich get richer.

Politics is not a dirty game, but an honorable one if played judiciously. It takes a divine mind to come and serve the people. That sacred game seems to be no more transparent in the eyes of the poor, ignorant, helpless and oppressed people. They were expecting those political players who claim to know the injustice in the game to come to their aid.

Do not fold your hands and blame these corrupt leaders. It’s high time we raise leaders with the cleanest hands and warmest heart. People who have been through the hurdles of the jungle and understand what the masses feels. Not people who are concerned about having a fat bank account.

Corruption starts from the home. No one wakes up and suddenly becomes corrupt. It’s a gradual process. Definitely, we can gradually build a political system with clean hands. It might take a whole lot of time but it is achievable.

Dogs are adorable pets. They easily learn habits and languages. But sometimes they can really be unpredictable because they don't share human nature.

Dogs can be so dear and so dangerous.

Dogs are known as man's best friend but sometimes things go horribly wrong.

A 3-weekold Michigan baby died after one of her family's dogs bit her on the head when she was left unattended with them on Thursday.

Susannah Jean Murray was alone in a bouncy for five minutes inside her Michigan home with three pit bulls serving as her only companions.

When after five minutes of being alone, a caretaker checked on her, the woman noticed the infant bleeding from a severe head injury and also saw that one of the dogs had blood around its mouth.

Baby Murray was taken to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital where she underwent nearly seven hours of surgery but she did not make it. She died around 2 a.m. the following morning.

Sgt. Terry Dixon with the GRPD when speaking of the attack said the dog who attacked the child is about 2 years old and has now been quarantined along with the two other family dogs at the Kent County Animal Shelter.

"This is a horrible tragedy, and it serves as a critical reminder to never leave a child unattended around a dog, or dogs, or pets," said Sgt. Terry Dixon. "Always keep a watchful eye on our vulnerable youth."

He continued: "Just the breed of a pit bull by itself is not enough to condemn it, any dog can bite something, they have teeth. I would say that this serves as a definite reminder not to leave children alone with dogs in the house."

Neighbors resident in the Grand Rapids neighborhood told the Detroit Free Press that the dogs were  dangerous nuisance, calling them “mean and vicious" and said they were always wary of them.

“I’d be scared, because when the dogs get out the fence, they used to chase us,” Hawa Abdi, a neighbor, said.

The GRPD and Child Protective Services are investigating. Dixon says they will give their investigation to the Kent County Prosecutor to review and consider any possible criminal charges.
